Venice Beach

Venice's postcard beach: wide, groomed sand in front of the iconic sail-style pavilion built in 1964, with free parking, restrooms and county lifeguards available. It draws everyone, from families with coolers to retirees reading under umbrellas, with two sand volleyball courts, a picnic area and boardwalks close to the sand. Beach wheelchairs are available at no charge from the lifeguards, and beach access mats are available.

Subject to change: A 2026 renourishment project may temporarily close short sections of shoreline and nearby parking. Check the Sarasota County project page and current beach conditions before heading out. Camping and fires are prohibited at Venice Beach.

See the pet-friendly guide for the details.
